Prior to the anesthesia appointment, the anesthesiologist will contact you in order to thoroughly review your medical history. A limited physical examination will be performed the day of the visit.

On the day of your appointment, there are several recommendations. You will be informed about food and fluid intake guidelines prior to the appointment. It is important not to have a meal before anesthesia. It is important to know that if you are sick, please contact the San Ramon Dental Care office.

You will be tired and sleepy following intravenous anesthesia. You will need to return home and plan minimal activity until the next day. You may return to your regular routine the following day.
